how it began…

In 2004, what started as a simple vacation to Italy inspired a question, "How can we bring authentic Italian pizza to the U.S."?

In 2005, David discovered an oven manufacturer in Italy combining passion and technology that made sense and who inspired him the most! With David's love for food and his degree in aeronautical engineering, there was an immediate connection and level of respect that was the start of a wonderful working relationship.

David was the first to bring electric pizza oven technology to the USA. Because of David's technical background, he understood how this energy resource was a game changer for the pizza industry. Up for the challenge, he focused his personal energy towards this new frontier and became a trailblazer for the pizza industry.

David's passion for Italian pizza led him to learn the traditional techniques and recipes. He graduated from the prestigious Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli in 2007 and led others to the art of firing up electric pizza ovens to just the right temperature to make their unique combination of dough and toppings shine. Since 2005, Pizza Equipment Professionals has been the authorized importer for Cuppone, representing the USA.
